Hiding out

The boat, "Shirley," became a hiding place for this gull.  The boat, bobbing gently in the waves, provided a certain amount of protection for the bird who had sought out its own special place far from the maddening crowd!

This gull is no bird brain. He knows a good resting spot when he sees one.

Perhaps the gull's name was "shirley". Who knows. It was a free ride.

Lowell, on the bike I'm shooting right, left up and down, always on the move. It also amazes me when I see them at home and see how well they come out. We've been doing this for many years now.
Thanks for your visits and comments.

I am always attracted to empty rowboats and this one is even more appealing because of its passenger.

Curious. I don't think I've ever seen a seagull actually sit in a boat. Flyby -- of course. Perch -- naturally! But, sit? Very unusual. Good eye!

Contemplating its thoughts maybe..

This gull seems to know how to recharge himself apart from his group. Or does he have a physical problem? Bird's entrance on a boat is unusual.
