ReplyDeleteIt’s a lovely church and the entire complex is very nice and peaceful. It is a very active church and serves the entire community. Its policy is to speak out on any subject that it feels is important. It is an example that freedom of both speech and religion is far from dead or even under strain. Its priest and parishioners are a force in the total community. Separation of church and state does not damage either. Both have their roles, as the founding fathers intended. The protection of even the smallest minority is important to our democracy. Without dissent there is little progress. The powerful must be ready to answer the dissidents, that is how we find what is best for all.

ReplyDeleteIndeed, a feast for the eyes. Come to think of it, we've got several modern churches as well but the real large ones are old.
ReplyDeleteOh Jacob, this is a gorgeous church! Not just the stained glass window — which is stunning! — but the entire design! I love how it is basically clean and simple, but with such tasteful touches of ornateness. Love all the warm wood too!
