I love your concept of daily photos. Specially because the world gets to see what you've just seen. And this way may be I won't miss the places which I otherwise might not get to visit in my life :-) Great work!

Jake: Thanks for the link to the museum. I think the cypress in front of the building is attractive and expresses the feeling of the South and adds greatly to the picture.
Our old buildings are often unsafe, difficult to climatize, dirty and covered by scaffoldings. Beautiful to see but of no practical use and expensive to maintain... Short version: I love your neat city hall!
You are right, it is very atractive. Our country is just not old enought to have buildings like Europe, although Florida has the oldest city in the US. MB
When I saw the thumbnail in the portal, I thought it was just a humongous house. I like it as a city hall — seems very approachable, if you know what I mean.

How strong is the trend to have columns out the front- in parts of the south perhaps, I've noticed a few such places and there's Gone with the Wind and its memories, although the location differs I guess.
Hi Jacob, thanks for visiting my Astoria blog. You can see all you need to from the base of the column, and there's a nice easy road to get there! From the tower you get a different perspective and feel more like an eagle :) I'm enjoying your blogs since I'm not a warm-weather girl, but I love to see the images.
