Seminole trading post and village at Silver Springs Park



One hundred and fifty years ago or so, the Seminole Indians lived in these parts. Along the Fort King River, they built villages and trading posts, such as what you see here. These are replicas of course, which you can view as you glide down the river in one of the boats from Silver Springs park.

    Awesome photograph.

    I love finding out about all these beautiful places in which people live, it's the next best thing to traveling.

    As for the lightning picture you commented on, I'm fortunate as this is the view from my balcony and I quickly snapped about 7 shots whilst feeding my kids and getting ready (6:30am) and I was lucky that one turned out to be a cracker.
