New life arises

A few days ago, we posted a photo of this building which housed an antique shop. It was conducting a sale preliminary to its closing down and shutting its doors. But new life has arisen. It is now known as The Golden Egg and is selling school uniforms.

  3. c'est la reprise, peut être une annonce de la fin de la crise. En France, je sais pas si des magasins d'uniformes d'écoles existent, peut-être pour les écoles privées.
it is resumption, can be an announcement of the end of crisis. In France, I know not so stores of uniforms of schools exist, perhaps for the private schools.

  9. @ Marie - I'm trying to figure out what they sell...I didn't know our public schools even had uniforms...maybe they'll cater to the Catholic schools...I guess some schools may require certain colored shirts and shorts or something...

I'll have to stop in and see what the heck they're doing...

  11. Interesting choice for the name. I am guessing this place is owned by someone of Asian heritage.

  12. Glad to see there is new life there! It is so depressing to see shuttered businesses and the building just sitting there unused.

  17. It is so tough to run a small business. People do it so often w/o experience, a business plan, or a clear understanding of the numbers. I hope it is a golden egg and not a goose egg. Also thanks for raising the ethical issue of killing animals for food on my blog. It shows that you are caring folks.

  18. Cool facade - almost reminds me of the Alamo! Is the woman on the left painting a sign on one of the "golden eggs"?
