This is one of the more graceful mansions located in Ocala's historic district.

  2. Very pretty. Great photo on the angle and the fact that each brick is so crisp and clear.

  3. The mansion looks so beautiful! Also, since you've shot it with a great perspective! Pretty sharp image!

  4. I miss seeing brick buildings! It's elegant yet retains a certain cottagey charm because of the brick!

  5. You seem to have a lot of these brick houses around in Ocala. They look quite neat and tidy.

  6. Lovely brickwork, great house and nice front garden (I guess they have more garden beyond that gate). What are for those wires on the right? Power, telephone? No way to put them underground in a house like this?

  7. wow This is "THE house"!
Let me dream about...For now, I'm here in sharing a kind of "cage"with my little Luna! hahaha !!!!!
Okay I'm overestimate it! Anyway my place is small indeed! On the other hand I don't have problem with clean it!It's really easy! lol

  8. Leia - You make a good point! Sometimes we want more and bigger stuff, but we end up with more and bigger problems! And higher taxes!

  9. Vogon Poet - The wires are certainly for telephone (maybe cable TV as well as power)...In some subdivisions, all the wires are underground. Our subdivision has wires underground which makes it much nicer visually. But to go into an older area and put them underground is very expensive...I don't think the city is going to do that with all their other expenses.

  10. If you removed the Palm trees, it looks like my old neighborhood in Ohio.

  11. Marie - It is interesting that most of Ocala is built of wood or concrete block and stucco... but years ago, many homes were constructed of brick.

In South Florida, it would be rare to find a brick home.

  14. A little too much brick for my taste, but a mansion it definitely is!

  15. That's a mansion I could live in.

  17. It looks a wee bit Georgian to me! Lovely!

  18. Boy, would my husband love this house. No rotting clapboards, or need for paint every four years, not to mention the roof that looks like it would last a lifetime. It's large, but I think the perspective makes it looks larger perhaps than it really is.

  19. Beautiful! I like the roofs and the texture of the walls!

  20. That is a stately mansion. It looks great. What I like the most is how sharp it is and the contrast with the sky.

  21. That is very red, that it reminds me of houses in Sydney! Great capture, Jacob.

  23. I'm a fan of brick and stone houses. How much would a house like this run there in Ocala?

  24. Hi Becky - ah...prices have dropped considerably but I think it would take at least $1.5 million to own this place...
