Flower bed

Life is not a bed of roses. But sometimes one finds a bed of flowers.

  1. Wow - when Lois Anne said that she wanted a "flower bed" in the back yard, you REALLY took that literally! I hope she likes her "flower bed," Jacob!

  2. Life is not a bed of roses - it's a bed of flowers!!! Great find. My father-in-laws wife has a really nice garden that she established in the heat and the clay soil in Pahrump, NV. She uses old bed posts from a local thrift shop for fences and supports.

  3. I love this. Perfect use of the old bed. I've seen several around our area here. There's really a variety growing in this one isn't there?

  4. That is so cool! I love it. The only thing that could have made it better would be some birds and bees in the flower bed. ;-)

  8. I have the almost very same bed in my garden too. I got it free by the side of the road and then my daughter was at a garage sale and there was the same white bed there for free. It is about the size of a youth bed. I will have to post a picture.
How cute I love it. MB

  12. Very funny and very good commentary (?). Life is not a bed of roses or a "long quiet river" :-)) You found the bed of flowers, now we need the photo of the long quiet river

"Life is a long quiet river" is a very funny French film.

  32. Hi Jacob,
Rose is a wonderful blogger friend of mine and I saw your comment on her blog and came to see if it was what I thought. It was. I'm so glad I came on over. This is gorgeous. I've seen them in my area for years but never this lush.
    Lovely shot!

  33. Great catch! This would make a great greeting card. It reminds me of a series of children's books: Amelia Bedelia (the maid who takes all her directions literally.)
