Operating on the belief that they need to get 'em when they're young, Trinity Baptist Church in Ocala has a very active youth program. This is an outlying building which appears to be dedicated to their minor, as opposed to adult, members.
I took the photo mainly because of the brilliant colors, especially as found in the blue awning.
If I were a kid, it would appeal to me. I love the vibrant colors -- nice shot!
ReplyDeleteThat blue is definitely brilliant. Interesting accessory on a brick building. If you hadn't told us what this is, by looking at the "Kids Zone" sign I would have guessed it was one of those pizza, video game birthday nightmare for parents restaurants.

That is interesting...almost subversive, since it has the kid-catch of looking somewhat like a Burger King sign...

ReplyDeleteYour right about the colors. They really pop off the image.... but not just the awning. The green of the grass, the yellow and red of the sign...
ReplyDeleteIt is a great contrast to the subtle colors of the brick and the sky. It would be hard to miss that is for certain.
Love the blues! The Baptist church here has a huge, seperate youth building, too. They have a full court gym for basketball that doubles as a skating rink (they even have those brown skate rental skates for use!) Pool tables, ping pong, etc, etc...They definetly try to keep them occupied and busy!

While I am not into any form of organized religion, I do think that anything that gives kids a direction/purpose and keeps them off the streets is a good thing ..
