What a heavy looking machine is that! Have been seeing these a lot in games these days all war games! In actual I've got a chance to see it only once an old discarded one! :-) Nice shot!
Nice! Tank was one of the possible endorsements on my first driver's licence (like commercial, etc). I always wondered what driving school you needed to go to to get your tank licence. I think the rules of the road are pretty simple. Rumble over anything that gets in your way!
Very nice. Love the composition of the VFW in the background. Mitchster and I took a bunch of pictures of this guys brothers a few weeks back. It is interesting to me how much they use the retried machines as figureheads for different places. Seems it is becoming pretty common to see this in front of local bases, armory's and VFW's
At least it looks like a tank. The newly built Warship USS New York looks like I dont know what but it sure doesnt look like any ship I have ever seen before ..
Scary stuff! Nice capture!
ReplyDeleteI'm behind, but I'll be trying to catch up.
after the Walmart picture, it seems that you are into things that roll over people. Seeing a tank scares me even if it is ours.

ReplyDelete- Pixellicious Photos
That's one mean machine! Always wondered what it would be like to drive/ride in one.
ReplyDeleteon dirait un visage ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the day when all military vehicles and weapons will only be for historical monuments and museums…
ReplyDeleteHopefully never to be used again.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, great tank, a real piece of history!
ReplyDeleteI love tanks and this is a nice shot !! I loved this post.
ReplyDeleteCela rappelle des bons souvenirs : la Libération de la France. Mais je souhaite qu'Obama puisse instaurer la paix partout y compris en donnant un pays aux Palestiniens.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a tank. I think it would claustrophobic to be inside one. Kinda like a land submarine. MB

ReplyDeleteI think my Marines can take your tank.
ReplyDeleteReminds me my childhood in Africa. I was used to see a lot of these.

ReplyDeleteI wish we had one of those on display around here. My grandson would love those wheels!

ReplyDeleteUSS new York
You are correct, you do have more firepower than I do.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one in person... only in pictures.
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to ask you who that is in your profile pic? Is he a cartoon character? He reminds me of a skinny Mr Magooo! hehehehe
That thing is scary! I like the grey in the clouds, by the way.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to follow up now with a fine old aircraft on static display. Be fair to the services.
ReplyDeleteExcellent photo, Jacob. Love the composition, the colors and the crispness. Just excellent!
ReplyDeleteScary thing. I would not want to have it as a taxi to go to walmart :-))) I'm sorry for being such a bad friend for the moment. I'm very busy, Jacob.
ReplyDeleteThat's a mighty big tank! I think North Americans should feel very fortunate to have never been invaded by warriors driving such machinery.
ReplyDeleteNice shot of that big machine!
