Nice effect! Leaving the pink in the otherwise monochrome photo looks great! Those horses really know what was going on? Or may be they're used to modelling :-)
I agree with the chicken. This is really creatively composed. Those horses don't seem exactly pleased to have their photo taken but what gorgeous animals.
OK, you win hands down. This matched pair is what makes Ocala so well known for its horse-stock. Great looking animals and the setting is so bucolic and painterly. The black and white DOES work so well with the scene. (I won't soon try again to compete with your horsey world.)

I find myself continually being stunned at the number of horse farms there are around there. I know you always are reminding us about Ocala being the horse capital of the country...... but it still amazes me. Just seems like that would be a place like Texas or New Mexico. I am sincerely envious of the amazing resources for horses you have. I know I would have a different profession if I lived close that.
@ MB - I'm so sorry. Does that mean you're still stuck at home? I kinda thought you'd like these critters...in fact, there were several more in the area but they were not quite as handsome as these are...
Sugar cubes? Diabetic horses? When I was small, there was a horse in a field opposite the hotel near Quimper where we vacationed. All the kids gave it sugar. It died of diabetes. Take carrots 'n apples!!! Now to the photo! It's absolutely gorgeous. Are those Appaloosas? I love the patterns, the way they are huddled and your photo treatment.
