Creche blessed by the American flag

  1. Was there a snowman in Bethlehem for HIS birth? Where are the camels? Is that in your front yard? How many days has it been out there? What time do they turn on the Christmas lights? Is this the first year you've noticed the American flag with the creche? Do they play music in the background? Why don't more people in Ocala have an American flag and a creche in their front yard?

  2. Somehow I don't think the magi were Americans or the rest of the family.

  4. Beautiful shot Jacob. I think the snowman stayed off to the side so he wouldn't hog the spotlight. He's one humble dude.

  6. Don't let anyone in The People's Republic of Berserkeley see this! They wouldn't let their firemen fly the American flag on the city's firetrucks in the wake of 9/11! And here we are mixing both Christianity AND the Flag!
    Gaia will not be amused!

  9. Marie et Joseph avaient compris que les Américains seraient les maîtres du monde.

Mais "être maître" crée des devoirs immenses ...

  12. Safe Leif is still all in a dither from his lunch with the belly dancers and can't gather his thoughts very well, I think...

  14. @ Allison - Good morning, my Minnesota friend! Yes, he's all a-dither! Perhaps it is good he had an appointment and didn't cancel; he might have dithered hisself to death!

Hope all is well! I've heard that it's a little cool in Mpls. Is that true?

  16. Interesting... do you watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart? Did you see Samantha Bee's interview about the Socialist Christmas ornament program?

  19. I'm glad America blesses an Israeli birth. And I'm sure there were snowmen in Bethlehem. It's all authentic! ;-)

  20. What kind of a snowman is that? More like the unknown cousin of Ronald McDonald.

  21. @ Per Stromsjo - This is Florida. We're pretty crazy so we're allowed to have all kinds of snowmen and Santas.

  22. Good point, Jacob. As a matter of fact he reminds me of the symbol for our national near-monopoly ice-cream manufacturer.
