Entrance to the Stone Creek community

As most of you know, over the holidays we moved from our home in southeast Ocala to a new villa in the Stone Creek community in southwest Ocala. This is the main entrance leading into the community.

Even though we've been absent from the blogosphere for a few weeks, we want to thank all of our special friends in the photoblogging world for wishing us well at Christmas and giving us such great support during our move. We deeply appreciate your concern and your kind words.

In return and in gratitude, we send our best wishes to each of you for a wonderful New Year!

[While posting/commenting will be sporadic for a time, we hope to soon be back blogging as usual and sharing in the visual wonders you provide from around the world!]

  2. What? They didn't have a "Welcome Jacob CDP blogger and Lois Anne" sign at the entryway?! I'm disappointed! You must have been really disappointed! Wishing you both a very Happy New Year - 2010!

  4. This is a great community, isnt' it? I mean City Daily Photo and related blogs. I'm sure we've all been thinking of you. YOUR new community looks wonderful, too. It would be nice to be welcomed home by that sight! I hope you had a nice rest from typing, although I doubt it was much of a real rest. All the best to both of you in your new home!

  6. That is some entrance! Looks like a really nice place you've moved to. Moving is a pain, I sometime think the unpacking is worse than the packing.
    Bonne Année !
    Cheers.

  7. Ooh, your new community looks beautiful, if that entrance is any indication. When you've sold your previous house and are settled in well, with no more distractions, I hope you'll give us a tour of Stone Creek!

Wishing you and Lois Anne a new year blessed with joy, peace, prosperity, good health and much, much love.

  9. Best to you and yours for a healthy, wonderful New Year. I will be disappearing for awhile, myself. Surgery is in another week and will prevent me from shooting for some time. But, to quote The Terminator, "I'll be back."

  24. «Louis» misread this. At first, he thought you had written that you had gotten Stoned at the Creek...

  26. Greetings Jacob and Lois Anne. I hope you're managing to keep hold of your sanity during the move. Just know you two have been on our minds during the holidays. I'd love to see more of Stone Creek when you get the chance. If the entrance is any indication, it must be very nice. Take a deep breath and just know it'll be over soon. We send our best to you both for the coming year. Take care!

  29. @ Louis - The Mad Cow needs lots of help, but I thought he could read OK. Actually, come to think of it, and thanks for reminding me, there is a great bar at the Stone Creek Grille next to the golf shop...hmmm...it's very cold today so that might be a place to hang out...

Nah, I'll have to hang pictures or some damn thing!

    Heh. Heh.

Moo to you! And Happy New Year, too!

  30. What a beautiful gateway to your neighborhood! Congratulations on "completing" your move... and I hope you're more successful at unpacking than we were... we still have boxes in the garage from our move 4(!) years ago.

Thank you for your kind words-- I think often of a line from "Benjamin Button"-- "If we never lost anyone, how would we know how important they are to us?" And while I think I've always known how important Mom was, it's true she's in my thoughts every day when she might not have been before. I'm sorry for the loss of your mother and mother-in-law... but aren't we lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives, for however short a period of time?

All right, out with the tragedy, in with the celebration-- Happy New Year! I hope your new home is blessed with many wonderful new memories!
