Are you sad to be leaving this behind? The reason I ask is that we bit the bullet and removed our pool in October. Everyone thinks we were crazy. It's hard to look at old pictures or see lovely pools such as yours.
Enjoyed your comments on Leif's Byerly's cookie post. You're absolutely correct re. MN people; we who stay here are dangerous people and should not be let out in public. Some of us, however, are married to spouses who would never think of leaving the area. What's a warm-weather girl to do? I'd prefer jumping into the pool in your photo than into a cold automobile!
@ Kate - Thanks! I lived in Minnesota long enough to know I preferred warmer weather! (When a kid we moved from Duluth to Los Angeles and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!)
A fantastic morning shot. A great way to start the day. Thanks for the greta poem you left about the twinkle bus. It made my day and was by far the post I have ever received.
Good morning indeed! I don't see a speck of snow, unlike the folks just to the north of you. A morning scene like that would be enough to keep you happy all day.
There are always trade-offs. Some bigger than others. Your two new heated pools, no lawn, house or pool maintenance and a relaxing change in lifestyle may lengthen your life expectancy by 25-50 years. Just ponder that as you put your feet up at the new place and clean camera lens. Lucky guys!
Like a couple of commenters said, great reflection in the pool!
I gotta retire and move south. Memphis is south, but heck it 34 degrees here at 4 in the afternoon. I wouldn't want to live as far south as, say, Miami, but Ocala seems like a good compromise.
I think a morning like that calls for a 'Morning Sunrise' dip in the pool! Nice lush backyard!

ReplyDeleteThat is a totally neat shot. I love the reflection in the pool. I am ready for a morning dip and I don't mean "skinny" either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice warm morning shot. Very inviting. MB
ReplyDeleteA beautiful sunshine and adorable day! This place is beautiful and that pool is a dream! :)
ReplyDeleteI liked those tree reflections there!

With the icy cold outside and all that snow around (in bloggers pictures), it is good to see something like this, Jacob! Thanks!
ReplyDelete@ Antjas - I don't think we'll miss it. And where we've moving (Stone Creek) there are two absolutely stunning pools that are heated!
ReplyDeleteGrrrr... :-)) Love that reflection in the pool.
ReplyDelete@ Lee - The temp in that pool is now about 68 degrees (or less). But I wouldn't be surprised at all if you jumped in! You're my hero!

ReplyDeleteIf I looked out on this view each morning I would feel as if I'd died and gone to heaven. What a beautiful place you live in. And you're leaving it?!
ReplyDelete@ Brattcat - Yes, but for a more beautiful place that isn't so much work and has large heated pools that other people take care of...

ReplyDeleteYour pool looks great and I see that you finally got all the weeding done! I think you and Lois Anne are going to miss your pool and lovely back yard!
ReplyDelete@ Safe Leif - Non!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me take a swim!

Lovely view! I don't have a pool and I don't want one but I must say they are very nice to look at. ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the view! One more day......
