A Stone Creek view

This was taken in front of the Stone Creek Restaurant and Grille a couple of weeks ago...the golf course is out of sight on the left. Stone Creek is a plus 55 development by Del Webb on the southwest side of Ocala.

  2. I can feel the warm air and the humidity in your picture It has some appeal tonight. We have rare arctic air overhead which you remember from your Minnesota days. It reads zero on the thermometer.

  3. Walking near a golf course makes me nervous...I am somewhat of a ball magnet. If there's a ball out there, it will find my head.

    Lovely photo though!! :)

  12. @ Bibi - Seriously? Have you been hit in the head with a golf ball? That doesn't happen to too many people. And I'm sure it hurts just a little bit!

  13. Very calm and relaxing...even if there's a chance of stray flying golf balls. (Don't you know the water is filled with bad drives.)

Looks like a delightful place to enjoy the overindulgence i the restaurant. Just fire up a pipeful or a fine, fat stogy and sip a coffee.

  14. Questions answered: Ritzville is a small ranching town in Eastern Washington. It is in an area called the Channelled Scablands--A geological wonder--(google it). My daughter lives on a huge (10s of thousands of acres)ranch belonging to her husbands family where they raise cattle. They do all the cow work on horseback, qualifying her as a real cowgirl.
The header picture is a farm by my house down in the Skagit Valley with Mt Baker as background.
the pics on my post are of the ranch. What else???? I hope ALL this has been helpful because I know inquiring minds want to know. MB

  19. That's a beautiful picture Jacob! I've never been hit in the head with a golf ball, but years ago I lived in an apartment near a golf course in Sarasota and every morning I would wake up to the sound of golf balls hitting my back door.

  23. Too sunny to be legal. You need to come up to Michigan and savor some grey skies and slippery roads.

  27. @ Lisa - We will be living about a half mile from where I took this picture. Below zero I don't like much. I thought it was cold here and the current temp is 63!
