I like poinsettias, I think they are beautiful flowers. I love this little details that make our days brighter, like decorating once's front yard, mail box or house number.
Twenty-something degrees tonight? I wonder if you're really still in Florida. Thanks for your very nice comment about my Florida zebras. The red color is brightening quite a few peoples' day, I think. It's warmer here, but it's been raining most of the last 24 hours. Nothing too unusual, but the red is very welcome!
I love the red!! Pointsettias are really not my favorite plant but I do like the bright red color. I propagated them for many years in a greenhouse where I worked. we started taking cuttings in mid-June. I did like that part.
I like poinsettias they alwasy look cheerful and bright, and make you feel happy. Not to mention they mean Christmas is just around the corner. Cheers. Melbourne Daily Photo
Vibrant color - are there any really big poinsettia bushes around there?

ReplyDelete@ Three Rivers - I don't know what you mean by "really big," but we have poinsettia bushes in our back yard that grow to about 5-6 feet...
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling our hard freezes of the past few nights will do them in, though. Ugh!
They sure do - They're so preeeeety!
ReplyDeleteI'm so used to associating poinsettias with snow, it's wonderful to see them in a green context.
ReplyDeleteAll my best wishes for this New year.
ReplyDeleteSo strange for me to see the poinsettias in the middle of leafy trees!!
Not the case here!

ReplyDeleteNow that is a pretty and understated decoration for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSome of the few photos on the Internet lately not involving snow. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat, no pictures of packing crates and movers? People love to share the misery
Amazing that these plants live outdoors! In Boston, pointsetta can sustain damage just being too near a drafty window.
ReplyDeleteLove these flowers, a bright start for the new year, Jacob.
