Poinsettias



Our former neighbor's poinsettias give color to the area.

  11. I like poinsettias, I think they are beautiful flowers. I love this little details that make our days brighter, like decorating once's front yard, mail box or house number.

  13. @ Three Rivers - I don't know what you mean by "really big," but we have poinsettia bushes in our back yard that grow to about 5-6 feet...

    I have a feeling our hard freezes of the past few nights will do them in, though. Ugh!

  17. Twenty-something degrees tonight? I wonder if you're really still in Florida. Thanks for your very nice comment about my Florida zebras. The red color is brightening quite a few peoples' day, I think. It's warmer here, but it's been raining most of the last 24 hours. Nothing too unusual, but the red is very welcome!

  23. I love the red!! Pointsettias are really not my favorite plant but I do like the bright red color. I propagated them for many years in a greenhouse where I worked. we started taking cuttings in mid-June. I did like that part.
