While not unheard of, this scene is very rare. These are villas just across the way from ours and the photo was taken this morning about 9 AM.
It is very cold here, relatively speaking. We don't like it a bit. Fortunately, we should be back to our normal high of 70 degrees (F) in a few days.

ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely a rare scene...I think I'll just settle for that rather than thick snows. We've had a series of beautiful days here now and we're happy with it, with highs of 72.

ReplyDeleteThat does look cold and it's actually a cool looking picture(no pun intened). I've been checking the weather from my home town and it's in the low 70's just about everyday while it's in the 20's here. I like the cold and I love the snow at least for now.

Great composition with a very strange sky, so different from the blue one we are used to in your pictures. I can't realize how you can get under (our) zero in Florida!

ReplyDeleteAlsace is a BEAUTIFUL region and also a special one in France because it changed hands so often over the centuries between France and Germany. Lorraine for the most part too, but isn't as pretty as Alsace.

ReplyDelete@ Safe Leif - I had on a LONG sleeve shirt, a sweatshirt, a heavy jacket, a hat, a scarf, mittens, etc. It was COLD. It's still cold. At 10:40 a.m. it is still only 32 degrees. That's freezing, even in Minneesota!

We had a light dusting of snow yesterday morning. I see no reason why a well run, gated community should allow that.

It appears that we're going to be warming up in the next few days. Thank goodness. After living in Florida for 25 years, our blood has thinned considerably!
