@ Ciel - I think it's a symbol of what might have been...This is the entrance to a group of villas called Stonewood Villas. They're very nice. But I have a feeling the folks living there didn't want to pay for a guarded gate. Maybe in the future, but I doubt it.
Unfortunately, there is no gate and no guard!
ReplyDeleteGood, that means it's safe there!
If there were a guard, he wouldn't have much trouble finding that door, would he?
The red door really stands out...I guess the guard is somewhere else... LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat red door has magical properties, I think. No more protection is needed.
ReplyDeleteThinking ahead to when they might need a gate and a guard?
ReplyDeleteLOL! I think I have to agree with brattcat. Very striking red — love it!
ReplyDeleteNo guard? What will they do when there's an uprising? What about hot pursuits with golf carts?
ReplyDeleteThe red door truly is the focal point. No gate and no guard, methinks, bodes well for your community since it obviously does not need it.
ReplyDeleteso very picturesque
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute little place. I bet one could live there. Just put some curtains on the windows..........MB
ReplyDeletebelle maisonnette, on peut pas louper la porte rouge ;)
ReplyDeleteSo the barbarians are allowed beyond the gates...
ReplyDeleteGood thing there's no guard or gate - why live in prison? Amazing how a red door can brighten things up.
ReplyDeleteIt could be a nice and warm mini cafeteria.

I guess the economy is hitting all sectors.
ReplyDeleteI've always called them 'guardshacks'...but this is definetly not a shack! Very nice. Love that red door!
ReplyDeleteI do like the red door!
ReplyDeleteI guess they were looking forward to better days when they built this one. I like the red door though.
ReplyDeleteOne thing it does have is a very red door! Which is ok with me, I like red doors.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cute little guard house. I love the red door.
ReplyDelete& your photo captures it so nicely with the striking shadows too.
Cute! I would rent it, it would be big enough for me :-)))
ReplyDeleteSo what IS it for then?
ReplyDeletecould it be... HAUNTED?!

ReplyDeleteWhat good is a gatehouse without a gate and a guard?
ReplyDeleteBut that red door is really flashy!
Very red. Do people have trouble finding the door?
ReplyDeleteI love the cheeryness of this photo! (Is "cheeryness" a word?)
