Look how adorable these sweet boys are! Having four daughters, someday I hope to have a grandson or five:) We are currently in the midst of a snow storm, Jacob. Leif and I are thinking of taking an office field trip to Ocala this week. Know of anyplace that might have a vacancy?
@ Allison - Of course. You could pretend you're interesting in buying a villa at Stone Creek and rent one really cheap for a few days...oh, no, that's right, you're too young!

Well, I think the Holiday Inn might have a room or two...
@ EG - Nah...actually gators aren't likely to bother a human. I've been right next to them a number of times. You don't want to aggravate them, and you don't want to feed them...if they associate food with humans, then you've got a problem.
When we first moved to Florida we went down to the Keys and there was a huge alligator in a pond on a key close to Key West - can't remember the name. That gator would come right up a little ramp where we were standing and we'd feed it popcorn.
We had no clue how dangerous that was. It was absolutely stupid! And we were probably very lucky.
Gators have killed and eaten people who have been swimming in some of the hot springs areas in Florida...they probably saw the arms and legs flashing in the water and took them for fish!
But that's a very rare occurrence.
Usually, though, if someone gets attacked by a gator it's because that person got too close or tried to poke it or threw something at it.
Or the gator may have been hungry...I understand they eat only once a month. Or, the gator may have been protecting its nest.
We used to ride bikes down in the Everglades and sometimes we'd see over a hundred gators in a 15-mile loop. Some were sunning themselves on the pavement and you had to ride around them. But I often stopped close and took pictures.
But not when they were nesting...then we rode by them very quietly and very fast.
Maybe they're watching the alligators eating the aliens?
