This is really, really weird, Jacob. Twice I tried to comment without any luck...seems I'm supposed to be anonymous. T'aint so!! I like the colour combination in the photo.
I think scenes like this re so interesting. I have to admit.... I do not think I have every found plants growing out of walls before. For sure I have seen ivy growing on walls.... but never IN walls.
I'm not seeing any ivy but there area few other plants growing on this wall. I'm thinking the wall must face northerly. And I'm wondering how long this brickwork will last now that plants are growing in between. :)
I don't think there is any ivy growing on that wall. Maybe little ferns. Hopefully the Ivy was scraped off and disposed of. Not quite an Ivy League type, eh?
I like the composition, colors and textures. It would have been a good choice to take fashion shots or portraits of "trendy people" in front of this wall.... :-)
I might be wrong, but I don't think it's Yale.

ReplyDeletec'est amusant de voir comment les plantes reprennent petit a petit leur place..

ReplyDeleteI like old red brick, with or without the vines. This wall was a great find.
ReplyDeleteUrban survival. I really like the mossy stuff but some of those ferns are just asking for a weed whacker.
ReplyDeleteBrick walls seem to be a trend at the moment! An interesting clash between nature and human construction efforts here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and lovely shot !!Simply beautiful !!
ReplyDeleteAh, the great ivied walls of Ocala. Although, methinks those might be weeds. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIvy? Are you sure? Looks like ferns to me! Whatever, it's a beautifully unexpected shot, I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteThose look like ferns! That's very cool! :-D Good find and capture.
ReplyDeleteI LIKE THAT! The wall doesn't look like Astoria, but the ferns and things growing out of it makes me feel right at home! This is a great pic!
