In Idaho, when I was there, many years ago, all the dogs were trained to "get behind in" and went everywhere in the back of the pick-ups and they all stayed put like this. Nowadays, most dogs don't seem to be that well trained.

Nice story and such a sad, obedient eyes in that last photo. If he was a cat he'd either go after them or more likely not care.
