Picnic benches in back of Dillard's Department Store...

...probably to be used by employees for their lunch break...

  1. I love picnic tables, especially those surrounded by lovely trees. All that's missing is a vase filled with beautiful flowers or a bowl with water and loose petals with tea lights!

    Happy Tuesday!

Many thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again tomorrow!

  2. Oh, okay. I was about to say that I don't think many people would like to have picnics beside a sidewalk or a road. :P

  4. What a pleasure to feel real wood material by the fingers.

  5. Very thoughtful of the department store to create a place for their employees' breaks.

  6. A kinda narrow area but I do hope they get used occasionally. MB

  7. How curious that one is wood and the others not. The wood has the charm, of course, but for people going back in to work, maybe the others are easier on their clothes...? Better than a lunchroom. Unless these are invaded by the smokers...?

  9. Or female shoppers trying to decide which pair of shoes to buy.

  10. Some businesses provide a much less pleasant place for smokers.

  12. And smoking breaks!

RE the Viking Classic: It's one of the last tournaments of the year. It mainly attracts second-string players and sometimes better players who need a few more points to earn their tour card for the next year. Most of the big names are ready for a break by now. And the pot probably isn't enough to interest them anyhow.

  13. It's so kind from the employers, because it's really nice to have a pause during the work to have lunch in such a lovely place outside.
In my last job in Brazil ( I worked as a director's assistant in a factory, mill)this kind of "place"to enjoy a break, a lunch time, and so on was the mainly point of some discussions.I think they still don't have a place to rest a little bit after lunch neither a single bench there, unfortunately...

  14. I love the depth of this shot. Great lines and an awesome way the focal point travels back with the tables.
