I suppose it's due to our technology. Most everything we use takes some kind of battery. Thus, in Ocala we now have two new stores that sell nothing but batteries and their accouterments.
This store mailed a coupon to local residents for a watch battery (installed) at a very reasonable price. Of course, when I brought in my watch, the clerk was unable to install the battery. He didn't have the right screwdriver.
Oh well.
Camera batteries, too?
ReplyDeleteI'm still laughing at the second paragraph! LOL! I thought this kind of situation could only happen here... :-)))
ReplyDeleteOh well is right.
ReplyDeleteGo play golf. MB
So you spent useless time looking at a clerk who had been drinking the right "screwdriver" *LOL*
ReplyDeleteOnly batteries, no screwdriver...
ReplyDelete:-)
Thanks for your comments at my blog, Jacob. My danish aunt lived many years near N.Y., she and her number two danish husband had a firm selling danish all best - got rich - and sometimes, visiting Denmark to find new things, they come at my parents home, and aunt "Tutte"/Birte always asked for a "screwdriver".
ReplyDeleteThat would be great if we could use batteries for ourselves when we feel weak, don't you think? Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI need a battery. I have a huge cold, runny nose when it isn't blocked. It's Sunday evening, I'm dog tired and I don't want to go to work tomorrow so I'm thinking a battery might help me?
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back to normal and everything is ok.
OOPS! Too bad about the screwdriver!
ReplyDeleteThat place sould be called batteryworld.
ReplyDeleteRegards

It's always something.
ReplyDeleteWe saw this shop the last time we were in Orlando. We also bought a watch battery, but installed it on our own.
ReplyDeleteThe name, Batteries Plus, does imply that they would offer more than just batteries. False advertising!
maybe we now need a shop selling only screwdrivers!
ReplyDeleteHi, Jacob. Welcome back. I appreciated your visit to HDP today. Glad that everything is looking up.
ReplyDeleteI never can figure out how so many little stores with limited offerings in small strip malls across America can survive. Someone once said that capitalism is the worst system . . . except for all the others. Good luck to the Ocala battery stores.
You always hear batteries not included. I guess screwdrivers weren't either, lol.
ReplyDeleteI need a new battery for my cell phone.......
ReplyDeleteOh, only one was enough, sure...
ReplyDeleteDear Jacob, thank you for your visit, I answered you on my blog...
Have a good day!
BTW, every Christmas season my daughter starts calling me Clark. Yes, we do know the Griswolds in my family.
ReplyDeleteLooks like they're starting with full energy!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
