The old Marion Theater has reopened in downtown Ocala and is showing first-run movies! Plus, you will be amazed at the very low prices charged for soda, popcorn and candy! It's the real deal!
It looks like a great old theatre. I haven't been to a movie since about 1965---true story. I don't think I could sit still long enough to see a whole movie. I think the last movie I saw in a theatre was Run, Appaloosa, Run. Horses. MB
j'aime les anciens cinemas, malheureusement ils disparaissent et deviennent des complexes 10 salles qui n'ont aucun charme et le pop corn est moins bon ;)
Love the photos that showcase a community and can only be shot there. Love a revival.
You were too yesterday with your Lawrence Welk talk on Greensboro Daily Photo. Zink is uh wunnerful zing. Can't you just hear the accordions in the background?
Sounds tempting. Especially the popcorn!
ReplyDeleteLove those old-fashioned movie theaters.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place. I prefer the old theaters to the new ones.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking theater! I love the style. Is it actually old and redone or new and done to look like it was old?
ReplyDeletebeautiful perspective!
ReplyDeleteaffordable pleasure!
This has a lot more ambiance and style than a typical suburban multi-plex.

ReplyDeleteThis is really nice; an old-fashioned theater with apparently old-fashioned prices. I'd go.
ReplyDeleteI like! You'll be going often, right?

I love to see an old theatre in a downtown area. Nice red doors & portholes.

Theaters have had a rough go of it but it's nice to see one restored. Great photo of it too.
ReplyDeleteAnd btw, to answer your question, Jacob, no one would want to see me in that outfit so I left it where it was.
I'm a sucker for popcorn at the movies. I smell it and just can't pass it up. I bet the inside looks nice, too, right?
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I see that your theatre doors are open. I guess it was way too hot inside to keep them closed, right? :))
ReplyDeletelove the old theaters, glad to see this one is being used still
ReplyDeleteWow that's great! I wish they could do that here, but all the old theaters that used to be downtown have been torn down or turned into offices.
ReplyDeleteLow priced concession stand! They will get a lot of business just for that reason.
