I'm quite surprised that the "decorations" on this horse have not been "appropriated" by local vandals. Hopefully, the bad guys will leave this beautiful horse alone.
The vandals were my first thought too. If it was here I believe some of the decorations were already gone. This peaceful country changed so much in the last decades and it's revolting when you think most of the worse crimes are commited by foreigners. We have to thank the 'brilliant minds' of the European leaders who signed the Schengen Treaty = no borders inside the EU...
I see in the wiki that Ocala and Marion county are home to a horse show that lasts a couple of months and serious thoroughbred breeding. Home of Affirmed.
We stay in Venice although it has been a couple of years since we were there. Love Florida in general. Sorry about the recent cold spell.
It is unique and very very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI really hope it will continue to stay like this!
Thanks for sharing.
Oh, that's funny, I never even noticed these on the previous picture. They do look to be pretty well secured to the horse.
ReplyDeleteNice detail!
ReplyDeletelovely captures!
ReplyDeletemaybe there is some myth around the horse keeping the vandals off!!
I had the same thought when I saw the decorations. Maybe we will be wrong and no one will pry them off!
ReplyDeletevery nice image and interesting art
ReplyDeleteI think I would have like it plain with no bling on it.
ReplyDeleteReally very special!!
ReplyDeleteI really to like the high gloss on this one and the decorations are indeed interesting. Let's hope the vandals leave it alone.
ReplyDeletec'est parfait pour ranger ces montres ;o)
ReplyDeleteI wish you a happy new year 2012
That's very cool. I wonder how long these will stay on before it's plain so Randy can enjoy it more!
ReplyDeletea timely post. what a creative eye.
ReplyDeleteCool shot. I have a birdhouse covered with small, old watches. It's timeless! hahahaha
ReplyDeleteSuch a creative idea to add watch faces and medals. Seems appropriate this time of year.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully decorated horse.
ReplyDeleteWish you Happy and Prosperous New Year.
I'm surprised, too, seeing as how they ran off with the quarters on the other horse. This black one is really a Black Beauty.
ReplyDeleteThe horse certainly has a very glossy coat...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And so interesting decorations.
ReplyDeleteSorry if I write in french...
ReplyDeleteCette statue est très belle et très originale.
Great shots, Jacob!
I like this one a lot! I hope they used good glue.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Truly amazing. MB

ReplyDeleteI don't know what the artist means to say with his/her choice of decorations, but I like it!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a blessed and beautiful 2012.

This was one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI heard later that this one, also, along with "The Quarter Horse," was vandalized! :(
