No war, just a military swap meet at the flea market

Some of you were very close to guessing what this was all about.  I've shown you just a few of the
numerous vehicles that were present.  Each of the vehicles had a descriptive tag and from that I was
able to determine this was a "swap meet," sponsored by the Military Vehicle Preservation Association.

I had never heard of the organization before but found this encampment to be most interesting.  I'm
not sure if people buy and sell the vehicles at this swap meet, but I think that they do.  It appeared to
me that many of those involved were friends and this was kind of like a reunion!

  1. Well... I wouldn't buy one, unless there was a kaki Ferrari...

  2. It's interesting how humans form groups of interest. There are groups of poker players, groups, of military preservationists, and even groups of photographers!!

  13. Must be interesting for those who like that sort of thing. I'm afraid it would be dull for me. :)

  14. I have always found the type of people that surround themselves with old military equipment fascinating, I have know many that were mechanics in the war, and their attachment I truly understand. No matter your feeling about their original purpose, they do make for intriguing pieces of history to explore. Thanks for all the fun shots.
