U.S. Navy blimp

This dirigible has been floating in the Ocala sky for several weeks. The story is that the Navy is using it to test new electronic equipment.

  2. Hi! Fully agree with you about the word verification. I have to squint to see them. Thanks for reminding me to remove mine. I was without Internet (gasp) for a day.

I love this blimp. I used to get such a kick out of seeing blimps when I was a kid.

  3. Your photo is so serious, I feel a bit frightened. Perfect shot!

And I agree with you about Blogger's verification system - I also have problems to read this signs.

    Best wishes:)

  6. I'm surprised that there aren't a lot of conspiracy theories going around.

I've changed (I think so, anyway) my blog so no confirmation word is needed. Thanks for pointing that out.

  9. This photo is just heart stopping stunning. We have them here, but they are advertisements, this - with all the gray is just an ode to honor, and country.

  14. Yesterday I saw something on the tube about the govt using these to track UFO activity. Be sure to be on the watch for any alien spacecraft in the area!!

  15. Great shot! I like all those shades of grey.
I wonder what they are really doing.

  16. That would make one wonder what is going on!

  17. Now, this is an interesting sight. We get used to seeing them with the Met Life signs at sports events. This one is a bit more sobering.

And if the comments about word verification are complaints, I am 100% with you. They are difficult to decipher and I have to do them letter by letter, not always accurately. I am tempted to boycott sites that use it.

Incidentally, you commented about the sunburst in the Travelers Tower and said it was serendipity that I had my camera. Actually, it was the opposite. I moved around quite a bit until I could put the sun where I wanted it and could get a sunburst effect. Many shots are luck, but that one was produced.
