When I saw this painting, I realized it was an iconic Ocala scene. Probably most of our hundreds of horse farms/ranches raise thoroughbred race horses, but there are also many horse farms in Ocala that produce hunter/jumper horses and each year Ocala hosts the HITS (Horses in the Sun) series (January - March).
Our header photo is from one of the HITS shows.
I like this a lot.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice painting and if I were in the hunter/jumper category, I would want to have that in my house.
ReplyDeleteI never did find out why all the choppers went over on Saturday. I was curious about the one with the guy leaning out the open door. Maybe it was training.
Very nice painting. Do you know who the artist is?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great painting. I'll bet there are some beautiful horses in your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, Sometimes we will get rain from those clouds, sometimes just wind, and most of the times nothing at all.

I love this painting---I mean it is so telling. I'll take it. MB
ReplyDeleteNeat painting. I like the light and the way the artist is suggesting motion with the lines in the tails and in the distance.
ReplyDeleteDoes Ocala have any Olympians?
ReplyDeleteLove the stylized movement and color in this image.

ReplyDeleteA very beautiful painting, Lowell. Well captured too.
ReplyDeletePaintings and their artists have always intrigued me. I try to find an exhibition, gallery, performance once a week to feed my soul. This does it for me!
