I couldn't find much on the history of these old limestone posts (they flank one of Ocala's older streets) but I'm guessing they were city markers from when Ocala was a much smaller place.
Yes. And they were meant to pass the test of time, too. Long after the streets of Ocala and the hobbit like dwellings have gone and the real estate is, literally, under water, this post will remain.
High Maintenance--oh I thought you were talking about my daughters. Jolene has a Dodge Ram with a huge lift kit black and shiny---why she needs a truck like that I don't know. It is really fun to get in and out of--yeah right!! All my daughters have trucks---was something missing in their childhood? We din't have a car either--when they were little---just trucks. MB
I remember seeing these from time to time around California when I was younger. They're from the days when there were stone masons, many of whom were real artisans. Remember them?
Looks like some historic place. Beautiful composition and I also like the texture sensation of that limestone!
