Esquire Center

The Esquire Center has lost some of its luster.

  1. It's sad and bad for business when the owners let it run down.

  2. Gosh, I wonder how much it would cost to demolish this sign...then erect a new one. $$$ No wonder it's still standing, rust and all.

  3. A bit of fresh paint would do wonders for this cute sign. What is the Esquire Center?

  5. Yep. I think it's seen brighter days. And I'm afraid I agree with Sharon.

  8. Must have been a great sign in its day - lots of lights flashing along the arrow?

  9. The top hat and mustache seem to be aging well.

  10. Retail is very hard to cope with these days with the prices the way they are. It is always sad to see stores close down.

  11. I have absolutely loved this sign for years!!! I need to capture it also as it may either get repainted or be gone and then we can no longer enjoy it's charm and reminder of the 'old' Ocala.

  12. This was the Orleans Motel & the sign was ours too until the economy forced us to sell in 1975. Sad to see the property & sign in disrepair after all the years of hard work & money we spent to make this a very attractive addition to downtown Ocala, FL.

  13. Thank you for your comment, Madison. I can imagine it is very disturbing to see that your place has become so run-down.
