I love this photo! Very cool shot. I'm hoping they also had some Velvet Elvises on offer. No roadside blanket sale is complete without at least one velvet Elvis.
As for how the kite flew, as far as I could tell, it was attached to the back of a parked truck and the wind kept it aloft (only about five feet off the ground). It seemed to be flying all by itself without assistance. It was one of the most interesting (and biggest) kites I've ever seen.
Gosh...this kind of thing drives me crazy! Roadside vendors would pop up all over the place when I lived on the east coast. Now, they've made their way over here --- not all the time, just occasionally. My personal "favorite" was the guy selling bed linens from the back of his truck. Seriously?! Who on earth would even consider buying something like that in such an environment. **sigh**
I'm guessing you didn't buy any.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love the tiger, deer and horses!
ReplyDeleteColourful blankets!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you went for the pink tiger skin one. ;-)
ReplyDeleteUhm, I'll take one in "warm, plain" please.

Excellent shot but not my cuppa tea!
ReplyDeleteI like a lot the horse! :)
ReplyDeleteLéia
Lots of warm choices!
ReplyDeleteI saw these same blankets for sale along the road here. And, here I thought they were all one of a kind. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis looks eerily familiar.
ReplyDeletestraight from China or Mexico
ReplyDeleteNothing really catches my fancy...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you were attracted by the horses.
