A few blocks from our home is a large (700 acres) horse farm engaged mainly in breeding and training race horses. This photo is of one of the farm's race tracks as it appeared on a foggy morning.
I love the races...and hate myself for it because of the scandalous treatment of the horses...doping, etc. There have been many articles outlying the abuses, and ine of the worst tracks with the most flagrant excesses is in my beloved New Mexico at Ruidoso. Those animals are so beautiful but are at the mercy of the egos and greed of the owners and trainers.

ReplyDeleteI could look at this photo for hours. Simple yet intriguing.
ReplyDeleteMagical atmosphere you have captured.
ReplyDeleteWow! Fascinating with the fog. Lovely capture, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if any famous horses trained here.
ReplyDeleteI love horses. I never go to horse races. I owned a retired race horse once though. She was a handful to ride but had a sweet personality.
ReplyDeleteThe horses would need their fog lights out there!
ReplyDeleteIt looks really pretty with the mist.
ReplyDeletePS: Glad for the good news. :)
Wow! The owners almost need a foghorn to find their horses.
ReplyDeleteLove the fog! So what is that striped post? It looks close to the fence.
ReplyDeleteI think I hear the mournful groan of a foghorn.
ReplyDeleteI really, really like this photo. The simplicity of it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLol, I thought you were on the deck of a ship! Fabulous shot!
ReplyDeleteNice shot!
