Windows 8 is here!

Windows 8 has been "here" for some time. The sign has been taken down recently. Do you care? Have to upgraded your Windows PC to Windows 8?

Some of use Macs so it's a moot issue. Well, not entirely, I still use two Windows PC's in tandem with the Mac. But I don't intend to upgrade to Windows 8 in the near future.

  1. I bought a new Windows 8 PC after my previous desktop failed. It was horrible and I returned it within 24 hours Got an iMac, which is a big improvement.

  2. Nice photo, Lowell. Many people don't upgrade so quickly anymore due to the bugs in the newer versions.

  9. I'll stick with what I've got I think, upgrading, changing suppliers or tariffs usually involves a raised level of blood pressure!

  11. Nope. I do have one old and probably out dated PC but, for the past two years I've been a Mac user. I have upgraded the operating system on the Mac when a new one comes out.

  12. Well, if Vista is the operating system, an upgrade is a must. Otherwise, no thanks.

  13. Windows 8 is a pain in the patooty. I received a new laptop for Christmas from Bob---ain't he great. YES! But to the point--it comes with windows 8 and when you are used to something else--XP I think--Windows 8 is a step backwards. Mostly pictures of stuff because we are dumb we can't read words. But now I am used to doing whatever I do--so it goes. MB

  15. First off, I must say that I enjoy reading your comments on many of the blogs I follow. Then, I thought which one of your many blogs should I follow to absorb more of that great humor. This might be the one. So I am a follower now. On Windows 8 - I bought a new laptop and it came with the dreaded 8. But happily, it has been ok. Cheers!

  21. I've been a Mac user since the mid-90s so this doesn't excite me either.

I apologize for the lack of visits recently. I got transferred to a new office last month and am only just beginning to adjust to the new schedule and work. I hope you and Lois Anne enjoy the break!
