Birdhouse for the elite

I'm not sure which birds are classified as "elite," but this birdhouse looks to be a residence for the high and mighty. Is that a TV antennae affixed to its roof?

  1. When I first viewed your photo it entered my mind that these birds are living better than some people I have seen in the cities. It's a pretty classy birdhouse.

  4. It's probably a martin house. They like to live in colonies. :)
And they eat mosquitos and other bugs, so the are nice birds to have around.

  5. I'm so glad I found your blog! My husband and I are considering a move to Ocala for his job but I know nothing about it, other than hearing John Travolta has a house there. I'm going to cruise around your blog and check out the pics!

  7. What Halcyon said. It so pretty. A southern mansion for sure. I am sure it has TV and probably a swimming pool inside and maybe a pool table too. MB

  13. It's antennae for air traffic controller broadcasts. Their offices are on the upper level.

  14. I think it looks like a lightning rod! And the place does look like a place for 'high' society.
