You could have one just like this. If you so desired. The blue sheet of paper in the picture gives prices for everyone, from baby Jesus to the wise men. And if you bought one you would have helped "keep Christ in Christmas." Sort of.
This hits a nerve, Lowell. It seems to be offensive these days to utter "Happy Holidays" and it's being condemned as "politically correct." Does that mean I now must be insensitive to Jewish friends? And my dear friend who's a Buddhist nun? I hope this doesn't mean that multiculturalism is a threat to keeping Christ in Christmas. There are, after all, other holidays this time of year, too, aren't there?
I think people should calm down with all the "PC" stuff. If someone says Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, just take it for what it is - a friendly greeting. I'm never offended by someone trying to be friendly. :)
PS: The creche is nice, although I don't need one. ;)
I just say Happy Whatever!!! I am partial to Father Christmas who is a handsome woodsman---now that is MY fairy tale. Haha!! Are those figures lifesize? I want the cow.
Sort-of indeed. Keep Christ in Christmas if you can afford it? Sheez, let people who are interested ask the price -- not that I expect them to give their work away but the blue slip right in the display seems like it would be a bit off putting.
Wait....you can buy these separately? That's kind of odd, unless of course, something happened to a piece you had.
I agree that Pc-ness has gotten waaaay out of hand. I would never be offended if someone wished me a Happy Something I Am Not (assuming that I am something). Too much PC.
It's a nice one!

ReplyDeleteThankfully we aren't quite there yet and still talk of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned however, I prefer elves and father Christmas.
These figurines are very nice.

ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays anyway to both of you.
Clearly 'everyone' has their price!
