The Adventures of Lois Anne

It was her birthday, and she wanted to go kayaking. So, off we went to the Silver River at Silver Springs Park.  We rented a kayak, and the adventure began.

Heading out we were greeted with this beautiful scene (painting effect by Triqui).

This is the Silver River about a mile south of the old Silver Springs Park. The Silver River, which carries hundreds of thousands of gallons of fresh water daily,  runs into the Oklawaha River which runs into the St. John's River which runs into the Atlantic Ocean.

A turtle, so close I could almost touch it, sniffed the air as we passed by.  I  almost knocked it off the log with my paddle.

The adventure continues tomorrow.

  1. Great nature shots, including the turtles. Don't know where you are headed, but I have a feeling that we are in for a few more visual treats.

  7. She must be very white and very thin. I did not see her at all. What was she wearing to be invisible?

I think your idea is great but my eyes are getting old or something

I wish her a wonderful 75th birthday. She is great and beaten a very difficult few years.

You both deserve nothing but the best from now on.
