Traffic jam

This was a little intimidating - to be stuck in traffic behind the load of wood which gives every indication of flying off any minute and crashing into our windshield. But there was nowhere to go, so naturally I took out my point-and-shoot and took a picture.

  1. I like how you decided to turn this possible problem into a photo op. Good thinking!

  2. That sounds like the perfectly sane thing to do when stuck behind an unstable load.

The Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Much loved 60's music!

Did you figure out who Grady Gammage was? His son Grady Jr. is a prominent lawyer here.

  3. I agree with EG! I wouldn't be that quick with the camera.

  4. Eeeeek! I also wouldn't feel good behind a truck like this. At least he wasn't going fast.

  6. Looks like there are 6" nails in the planks too?! I can imagine you sitting lower and lower in your seat as you followed it!

  7. If the wood doesn't get you then that ladder might. I hate traffic but I must say yours looks much more interesting than ours :).

  9. Oh dear! Is this permitted?
    It looks pretty dangerous...
Anyway, at least it was for a good photo!

  10. This is awkward... and you never know what can fall off a truck like this!

  12. I'd be looking for a place to turn off post haste!

  13. Well yes and no because unless it was very windy, I don't think there would be much risk at that speed... Now of course, faster would be quite another story! I would just stop somewhere and wait a while, that really doesn't look very secure...

  16. Exactly what I would have done. And then I would change lanes as soon as possible.

  17. I wouldn't like that either...but I think I'd rather be in stop-and-go traffic than at freeway speeds behind this mess. Actually, I think I'd prefer to have never even seen this guy.
