Being the horse capital of the world, Ocala has lots of horses and horse farms. Ocala also has hundreds of horse statues. Here are just a few. The first three are located near to the community in which we live. The last two you may recognize as being part of the "Horse Fever" project.
Oh, I am a horse lover and had two for years, but I think I told you that. These statues are awesome!! I love them all!! Thanks, as always, Lowell, for sharing the fun and the beauty! Hope your weekend is going well!
ReplyDeleteYou got my attention! I like these!
ReplyDeleteThese statues have real character, Lowell.
ReplyDeleteYou could probably start up a blog devoted to nothing but Ocala horses and horse statues.
ReplyDeleteThese are real beauties...but I suppose if you have the wherewithal to own horses in the Horse Capital of the World (I'm sure there's no hyperbole here!), it makes sense that you're not going to fool around with cheap plaster casts.

ReplyDeleteThey are all very nice but,I think my favorite is the last one.
ReplyDeleteI like the painted ponies.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive!
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine having a horse statue on my front lawn even though I live in a horsy part of Ontario.
ReplyDeleteThat 'horse fever' project is pretty neat. Not a big horse guy {maybe a horse's a**) but I quite like it. We had a lighthouse project that can still be found sprinkled about our city.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing these statues!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these! I saw a few sculptures of the Horse Fever project in NYC...
ReplyDeleteLove the arty 'project' horses Lowell.. at first glance I thought the speckled horse was filled with jelly babies :)
ReplyDeleteI like those horse fever horses, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteWe have 2 fully funded school boards in Ontario - one public and one Catholic. All the other religious groups have to se up their own private schools if they want a particular slant to education.
une superbe collection, la premiere est la plus belle, plus realiste
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be fun to have one of these guys in the yard. YES!!
ReplyDeleteI would really like to have one of these to paint, collage, or artsy-up.
ReplyDeleteDear Lowell - Excuse me for not having visited you sooner in spite of your kind and supposrtive comment on my last post and private email. Have you read books to your heart’s content? I had felt worn our under the typical sultry weather of Japanese summer but I’m getting more in fit as mornings and evenings get cooler.
ReplyDeleteEach horse statue is lovely, but my favorite is the second one, he’s so cute.
You posted a lot while I was absent. I enjoyed blog hopping of yours, marveling at your fabulous photos. Enjoy the rest of summer.
Yoko
