I talked with the owner of this beautiful "antique," and he said it needed some kind of bearings. Looks like new, I told him. We had a '55 Chevy Bel Air which was slightly different than this, which, I believe, is a 1957 model.
That's not an antique -- that's a classic. At least it was a classic year to graduate from high school. (At least I can remember that.) Beautiful car, fun memories!
Ouch!! So many things I knew and loved as a child are now considered antiques...((including me, sigh))
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful car.
ReplyDeleteClassic looking car, wonder how many miles it has on the clock?!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful old car. This cartoonish version works well, Lowell !
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the owner is taking care of this collectible car and I like how you've edited this photo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool find! You have used a nice technique to set it off too.
ReplyDeleteYipes!!! I have to agree with Kay!!! And I wasn't even a "child" in 1955 -- I was in college!!!
ReplyDeleteThe car is just fine, everything else needs a hand of paint...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! It can sit on my driveway anyday, all day.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this is the kind my dad had.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in high school, several guys had cars like this. So cool....
