The roads are jammed in all directions with cars and trucks! Every store in town has big "sales," and crowds of people jostle one another to grab the best buys. Christmas music plays ad nauseam over loudspeakers. It's not delightful, it's frightful! The best thing to do is sit down, relax, and wait until it's all over.
He has given up!
ReplyDeleteWhat was he watching?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like he even brought his own drink.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd prefer to burrow in at home, though his chair looks comfortable. But there's a lot to be said for the convenience of my coffee maker, slippers, and even my jammies if I'm so inclined.
I don't blame him. Time for football.
ReplyDeleteHe looks comfy. What did the river say to me you ask, it's time to make a change.
ReplyDeleteI'd much rather be at home, with a nice cup of Earl Grey with an obscene amount of sugar.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The malls are packed here also.
ReplyDeleteHe has the right idea, however... I would be sat in my own chair while chaos reigns outside!
ReplyDeleteSpend the time at home during the season of joy!!
ReplyDeleteWow! the guy at the back looks almost like me !!!

I agree: I feel safe only at home...
ReplyDeleteHe's got the right idea and he's found the perfect spot for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm staying at home or out in nature...definitely NOT shopping. :)
ReplyDeleteOr do it differently, like EG said. Or like me, reading, listening to classical music and baking...
ReplyDeleteDear Lowell - You made me laugh by “It’s not delightful, it’s frightful.” Thanks for the patience, guys.
ReplyDeleteYoko
It's even better to sit on your own lanai sipping a cool beverage. And if you didn't get all your shopping done earlier, do it on line.
ReplyDeleteBut it's a great photo and wonderful words.
Ha ha, a wise man...
