This truck has been parked in the same place in Micanopy for several years and it does not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. It is backed up to the mansion that was used as the hospital in the "Doc Hollywood" movie starring Michael J. Fox.
It's about to be overtaken by mother nature never to be seen again. No, I won't be traveling into space but many people will before very long. The Spaceport is already being used for commercial satellite launches.
What an amazing study! Beautiful photo work. We see old abandoned trucks around and they always make me kinda sad like an old workhorse put out to pasture.
Reminds me of the mattresses I recently saw at the side of the road out in the middle of nowhere - as if the mattress owner believes no one owns the land so that makes it okay. Yeah, right!
I didn't see the movie, but I love what you did with the photo. I like the way the plants blend in with the white flatness, and still remain very plantlike. I' still here and doung better all the time. Thanks for asking :-)
I see things like that every now and then here in the northwest and it always makes me wonder WHY???? Haven't ever gotten an answer though!!
ReplyDeleteSooner or later the plant life's going to hide it completely.
ReplyDeleteNice work to make it look surreal!
ReplyDeleteRe your query on my post - It is a 1933 Pontiac
Hey! Sometimes you find just the right parking spot and don't want to lose it!
ReplyDeleteNice find.
ReplyDeleteI love the effects of this one, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteYour effect suits it perfectly, perhaps more 'Back to the Future' than Doc Hollywood though!
ReplyDeleteNow it is fully integrated into the landscape.
ReplyDeleteI also wonder how things like this happen. I guess the truck wasn't running anymore...

It shows nature takes over and thrives when there is no human maintenance. I like what you did on the original photo.

ReplyDeleteI bet it is now inhabited by strange creatures...
ReplyDeleteA mystery to me, Lowell!

ReplyDeleteI wonder why?????

Love coming across things like this. Though, I also wonder why? How lazy can these people be?
ReplyDeleteIt's already part of the setting. Great find.
ReplyDeleteLowell, please fell free to use any of my photos you think might fit your project. I'll be glad if I'm useful! :-)
