Yup". There was some push to get seatbelts installed a few years ago, but that didn't go anywhere. Not that it would have changed the outside. I guess the theory is the yellows easy to spot from a distance even before the red flag.
When I see this.... it reminds me of many of the American films I have seen.
To me it is typical American.
Here where I am living there are not school busses. More rural places have bus transport for pupils living outside villages and fare away from the schools.
I certainly haven't seen much in the way of changes to them.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth? I'd kind of like to ride on one again. Love this retro-style photo.
ReplyDeleteWhy mess with success, right?
ReplyDeleteSo true, Lowell! There don't seem to have been any safety improvements in them at all.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do so agree with you!!! Not even a tiny change, just the same old, dull buses!! Hope your week is off to a great start!!
ReplyDeleteVery true, and here in Quebec they are all French. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's familiar, why change it.
ReplyDeleteI like your retro treatment of this. You can almost set your watch by one of these that comes by our house in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteA very nice photo of a common subject, I like the sepia tone here.
ReplyDeleteHave the school buses all the same color too? Yellow?
j'aime bien le traitement, on retourne en enfance
ReplyDeleteold and beautifull
ReplyDeleteSchool bus in general is a great idea, and sadly a thing we do not have yet...
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely correct. When I first looked at the photo I thought it could have been shot in the 1950s. It is timeless.
ReplyDeleteI have never thought of that but you are so right!
ReplyDeleteThis shot looks so vintage. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI remember that when I was a kid there was a rectangular version. Maybe it wasn't as safe as this shape.
ReplyDeleteMost of them are yellow though--hahaha!!!
ReplyDeleteI never did get to ride on a school bus though and I'm ok with that.

Some even have to use a boat to go to school.
