The House that John Built


Well, John Travolta didn't build the thing himself, but word is that he put up some money to have this "house" established in downtown Ocala. Travolta has a home just north of Ocala but has kept a low profile in this area of late. We go by this "house" often when in the downtown area, but seldom see more than one or two people go in or out of the place. I'd guess it will take a long time before Scientology gains a foothold in this community where fundamentalist Christianity rules the roost.

    Ah, cults. Even more obnoxious than mainstream fundamentalists.

    I once had occasion to send a couple of door knocking Jehovah's Witnesses fleeing down the sidewalk by saying I was a Satanist in the middle of a blood sacrifice, and would they like to take part.

    It looks more like a store front than a religious institution. It is considered a cult.

    Hmmm... I still don't understand why this "church" isn't seen as a cult. I guess it's b/c there are some high-profile members, like Mr. Travolta.

    Scientology... Fundamentalist Christianity... Well, I'd better say no more! As to Travolta I just want to get focused on his great role in Pulp Fiction and not to think of anything else regarding him because I enjoy watching that movie from time to time... :-)
