I believe the sign and would enter with great caution and definitely keep out of the water. The gators can have the water and the shoreline, it is a pretty place.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe I can see a touch of fall color in your photograph. Enjoy your warmth, it was 29 degrees here this morning. I'm off to spend the day working outside.
How lovely. It reminds me a little of some of the lakes around here. There is, of course, a big difference - no alligators here :).
