Netsuke! I love those tiny pieces. I've never seen them as the Immortal Gods. These are great! I think you and I had the same algebra teacher. I'd recognize those wild eyes and fangs anywhere.
The Asian collection in this museum is pretty spectacular. Gosh, we had the same algebra teacher, but when she taught me she was wearing a veil and habit. And she had the habit of using harsh words with me.
This is wonderful... Mr Appleton was an eclectic collector. And I am loving the tour...thanks for guiding.
( Only I think that one statue is Sister Mary Veronica, who tried to make me into a right-handed girl and only succeeded in confusing me. ( I survived ...)
The 9th Grade Algebra teacher could have also been my third grade teacher!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! And your captures are terrific as always!! Hmmmm I think we had the same algebra teacher!!! Have a great weekend, Lowell!! Enjoy!

It looks like this is inspiring memories of rotten teachers!
ReplyDeleteI often get a 'laugh out loud' moment when visiting your blog. Today especially. The photos are terrific too, as ever.
ReplyDeleteYou found some wonderful works of art here. Well, with the possible exception of the Algebra teacher.
