Appleton Museum - A Few of the Paintings on Display

Here are some of the paintings displayed in the museum.  The last photo is of a charming workroom for children and adults.  If you have some spare time and wish to hone your artistic skills, this is the place to go.

  7. So neat you get to take pictures of the pictures! And the kids project room is cool. I have this place on our "to visit" list . And also, by the way, the Butterfly Rain Forest at Gainesville, which you told me about in a comment! We appreciate the suggestions!

  8. I was on the board of directors of an art museum. It seems that museum directors are falling all over themselves building children art rooms at the expense of the collection. Between home and school, I would think that children have enough places to doodle with their crayons.

  9. What a great idea to have that workroom at the center of such amazing art on display. I would be willing to have a go at trying some painting.

  11. Nice examples of realistic painting. This is more what I expected to see in this museum. I also like that they include community activities. Sounds like the place to go in Ocala!
