Oh, I long for the days when so-called professionals (e.g., dentists, lawyers, doctors, etc.) did not advertise on television or radio or on billboards or on big white trucks situated in shopping center parking lots!
BTW, I've decided to use my pen name, Jacob Anson, again, for blogging.
But you can call me Lowell,
You can call me Jacob,
You can call me "Whatshisname,"
Or whatever you can make up.
BTW, we'll be out of pocket for a few days and I will not be posting. Have a great rest of the week and a super weekend!
Oh my. We don't have this sort of advertising (yet). Have a nice break, Mr Anderson :).
ReplyDeleteAdvertising is the soul of every activity.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time, Jacob :)
Gostei desta fotografia.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.
It is a little tacky, isn't it. I guess advertising, wherever it occurs, is essential for some portion of success. Incidentally, I am baffled about your "open door" policy on my blog. It's early in the morning so I may be a bit slow.
ReplyDeleteCan I call you Bob?
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the dental work! ;-)
Advertising, shamasvertizing
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful getaway
MB
It does make you wonder....
ReplyDeleteHave fun what ever you are up to.
It does strike me as rather tacky... though there's a guy who drives around here advertising something like the Onion King, with his car rigged out with all sorts of garishness, so this isn't that tacky!
ReplyDeleteI'd wondered about the name!
he heals rolling ?
ReplyDeleteSome dental care is better than none, but this advertising does not inspire confidence in quality professional treatment. After their dental work they just drive away. Makes for a powerful photo, however. Have a good break, Lowell. Look forward to your return.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really awful ad, Jacob/Lowell!
ReplyDeleteEverything ok Jawell?
ReplyDeleteMedical professions are not allowed to advertise here. Not doctors, not dentists, not clinics, not hospitals. None.
It wouldn't be so bad if the advertising was discreet!
ReplyDeleteHave fun, Lowell!
Yep, hard to get away from advertising...it's everywhere.
ReplyDeletefunny your photo we have not it here! I wish you a good weekend !
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would trust a dentist that advertises on the side of a truck!
ReplyDeleteI wondered why "Jacob" was using your email on your last post. I've gone back and forth about using my alter ego's name, Zappo Rocket Woman.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your "away" time!
Advertising to get your teeth into...
ReplyDeleteToday everyone is advertised everywhere, Jacob.
ReplyDeleteBuen fin de semana;)
Un abrazo.
Whatever your name is , I agree with you completely about the advertisements. Between those and politics, we've nearly given up Tv completely and as far as the latter is concerned I'd like to be out of pocket for about nine months.
ReplyDeleteJacob sounds great for me!
ReplyDeleteWhatever name is ok as long as you keep bloging. Hope to hear from tou soon!!!
Break for dental treatment? ;)
ReplyDeleteWhatever it may be, best wishes for a rejuvenating blog holiday!!
Yep, I'm with Lois and you!!! No doctors or dentists should be advertising on the side of a truck!! Holy cow!!! What's the world coming to!!! Enjoy your new week!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be keeping my eyes open for advertising tricks from now on.. I was intrigued by my mysterious new commenter... Jacob :) wee bit exciting :)
