The Market of Marion




The Market of Marion is a huge flea market south of Ocala. It covers several acres and consists of a main aisle with a number of aisles running off in opposite directions.  There are about 1100 booths and over 400 vendors.  The market is open on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays.

We visit the market on occasion in order to purchase certain veggies and fruits which are superior to those found in the local supermarkets.

    We do have flea markets up here- I suppose it's a sign that because my parents never went there, I haven't myself, either.

    There is a huge flea market outside San Antonio, TX that we visit. Mostly it is just fun to see what is for sale, but I have purchased a few items there. What fun that can be.

    I see what you mean about those vegetables. They look wonderful. I could also use one of those honeydew melons. That would be delicious right about now.

    We do have flea markets here in Montreal, but I prefer the one you are sharing in your lovely photos, Lowell! I don't really like flea markets but I love charity shops and such, as you can find many fun items from days gone by. :)

    The fruit and veg do look fresh! Interesting video on the 'night life' in the Village following the market video Lowell:)
