A Safe Confrontation

The bird could not see the cat because we have a special film on the window
But, it certainly seemed as if it could and the bird kept taunting Cleopatra for several minutes.  Cleo did not take her eyes off the bird for one second.

The photos were taken by Lois Anne with an iPhone and through a screen so the quality is quite poor but I thought the subject matter made up for the poor quality.

  1. It certainly does have a taunting sensibility. Poor Cleo, thinking, "if only this window was open..."

  2. That cat's attention is riveted on the bird. Good catch Lowell. Hard to believe the bird can't see the cat.

  3. Perhaps the bird couldn't see Cleo, but I am willing to bet he felt that he was being watched! :) Great captures, Lowell!

  4. Great shot! The quality is good for the limits you've mentioned. It looks as if the bird is giving Cleo what for.
I had a small family of raccoons parade past my window yesterday. I haven't checked yet to see what kind of quality I got with my shots. Opportunities like these are too good to pass up in the pursuit of perfection.

  7. Fortunately (for the bird) there is a window between those two...
    Super scene, Lowell !

  8. Indeed so. And the spite between the two comes across strongly.

  11. She sure senses some thing or one is there. Are you sure she can't see the bird?? We had a sheep named Cleopatra once. She had a fine baby named Cinder---I could go on but I won't.
    Have a good weekend

  13. These are great photos! That bird really does look like it's doing a little "na, na, dance" and saying "you can't catch me".
