There are two cats in this cage, Chester and Homer. I'm not sure if this is Homer or Chester. The cage is located inside a local pet store and there are a number of cats available for adoption. They are sponsored by our local Animal Humane Society.
That works out well for people who shop at the pet store and are lacking in cats.
Notice, though, that this kitty seems to have something wrong with its eyes. I'd certainly want to have it checked by a vet before I'd take it home.
I imagine if they're the same look and age, they're probably brothers.
ReplyDeleteChester/Homer doesn't look healthy. Poor kitten. I hope it finds a new home where he's well cared for.
ReplyDeleteHope they find good homes soon.
ReplyDeleteRe your comment on my post - You are indeed very well versed in history! :)
Poor kitty. Not a good way to start a life.
ReplyDeleteOur local PetSmart has an agreement with an animal rescue place. They also have an in-house veterinarian. Seems like a good set-up.
Most definitely I would have the cat examined by a veterinarian before adopting it. I hope the sweeties find a good and forever home.
ReplyDeletePoor kitty! It is better that the local agency is sponsoring them than that the pet store is selling pet-mill kittens. Some pet stores do that. But I am surprised that the agency doesn't have their vet look at the kittens eyies.
ReplyDeleteThat's good that the pet store is working with the local humane society. Too many animals need homes.
ReplyDeletePoor guy. Hope he finds a home and gets his eye problems worked out.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kay.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Kay, poor cat(s).
ReplyDeleteI like cats. Unfortunately I'm allergic to cats. They make my eyes swell shut and itching hives on my skin among other things. Maybe the kitten is allergic to people. Maybe it's allergic to cats. But more than likely it just needs some eye drops for a week and it will be good as new. It always pulls on my heart strings to see cats and dogs in a cage just waiting for someone to love them.
ReplyDeletePoor little thing! I tend to stay away from places like this. I'm too big of a softy!
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't look too happy. Hopefully just a bit of an irritation!
ReplyDeleteLindo com um olhar muito triste.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim de semana.

Are you sure it is sponsored by the Animal Humane Society? I'd say, check it out. Pet shops are notorious outlets for puppy mills and other animals. Some breeders are nothing but glorified puppy mills and states who have laws have difficulty enforcing them. That kitten looks like she needs a vet's attention. Go get 'em Lowell!!
