No Fear!

  1. Quite a summer scene!

As a pedestrian, I always assume every driver on the road is an idiot. Learned that the hard way after going over the hood of a first class idiot when he was making a right hand turn onto a main road while looking left.

  2. but wait until the light turns green, he better be gone! I agree with William, I assume all drivers are idiots and you have to watch them closely or you would get hit. Crosswalks don't mean to much when drivers are not paying attention. It's rough and tough for pedestrians.

  3. He does look a little nervous. If he did this here in Montreal he would be even more nervous! LOL! Love the views in your photos, Lowell.

  4. No fear? Terror, more like it!
I had a pedestrian get out of a parked truck and walk in front of my car without looking today. Glad at least I was paying attention!

  5. It strikes me how much we have to trust each other to obey traffic laws. Without them, chaos.

  7. He is doing what pedestrians should be doing... being aware of what is going on in the intersection. One should never treat crossing the road as a casual walk.
    PS: Nice shot.

  8. I am always out on the bike and this scene looks like any other day to me. But the cyclist here is smart to keep an eye on the cars as you can never be too sure.

  9. Presumably, he can cross since the light is red. I am very wary when I'm on my bike though.

  12. Scary! A driver hit the rear wheel of my bike once and I got knocked off the bike but the driver just kept on going.

  13. I was walking home from dinner a few nights ago and when I got to a driveway, there was a car waiting to exit. I waited for a while trying to make sure the driver saw me and when I finally thought it was safe I stepped forward and the woman gunned the car. I have no idea if she really didn't see me or if she was just an idiot. However, "idiot" is exactly what I said to myself at the time. Fortunately I had only taken one small step forward so I was safe.
This guy looks like he's got his eye on the situation.

  14. Notice how young he is? I hope he doesn't learn the hard way that bikes should be afraid.

  15. Well... I confess I'm always anxious about crossing streets here in Lux they usually respect pedestrians even so I do not trust. I wait until the car stops. In a perfect situaion: the car stops and the driver gives me a sign like "you go on now" lol. Hugs and a nice weekend to you and Lous Anne! Léia
